I\'VE DONE IT!

Woohoo, I have finally 100%, certified bought a boat.
After finishing the 3 day course we got from Peters on Sunday, and after passing the RT license test, we have been out on the boat every evening, after No 1 brat gets back from school practicing mooring e.t.c in Chichester Marina (it no fair, he is better than me!!)
Now then Where should I do my day skipper course? and can 15 year old No1 brat do it with me. SWMBOAAC will not be budged and refuses to do the course, so brat numero uno will have to do it, if possible

Well done, best ensure No1 brat gets less practice time than you so you can look better at it than him. If he is looking good tap the bow thruster gently in the wrong direction!!!!!

Have fun.

Dom

I am boating again ;-)

Re: I\'VE DONE IT!

Well done my son!

Out of interest was it "Toscana" you bought, lovely boat!

I'm based in Chi Marina and have just signed up at Selsey nightschool for Day Skipper theory. Starts back end of this month on Monday evenings in term time till easter. Dead cheap this way like £70 all in!

Oh we pick up our new boat tomorrow, yippee!

"Hopefully that won't be too expensive to fix?"

I\'ve done what you haven\'t and vice versa

I'm jealous. What is etc...?

I did my Day Skipper practical with Cdr Mike Reeder out of Lymington some years ago using Mike Morgan's boat. Had an absoulutely brilliant time. Did the course with a couple of other guys who were doing Yachtmaster at same time, stayed friends ever since.

He's hard, thorough and good fun. We worked 20 hrs a day all week. Would suggest male only though...

Mike advertises in both MBY and MBM

...I wanna boat please..

Yes, It was 'Toscana' (Phantom 37/TAMD 63P's)
I've actually just got back home, We went out today fairly late, out to Spit Sand Fort and back just to get a few night hours and run the engines.
More to follow, but not right now!
