People muse as to what happens to old boats. Well some seem to come my way.
After 3 years without a boat whilst we relocated to West Wales and set about our new house and its grounds, I told SWMBO that I thought I still had another boat in me. And here she is (the boat, not SWMBO)...

She is a 1973 Albin 25. I went on one in 1971 at the Boat Show with my father. I hung onto the brochure for years later but we never bought one. So this is partly a homage to my greatly missed father who loved his boats.
Re-engined a couple of years ago with a 36hp Beta engine that has done hardly any work but is in great condition, I've basically bought a sound hull, superstructure and engine.

For me the fun bit comes in bringing her back to pristine condition - updating the nav gear and, of course, enjoying her in the waters of West Wales. Initially she will live in Neyland, Pembrokeshire.
She sailed through her survey and is due to be loaded onto her transport in Falmouth on Monday afternoon and will be here in Wales on Tuesday morning. More photos to come and will be posted on her twitter @albinsea as well.
She is called Sea Symphony, by the way.
