Well it must be my turn for the numbers to come up tomorrow night! i have been playing for at least 2 years now so how many more people can be in the queue in front of me!!??

We were out last weekend for the CTC race and spent some time alongside 2 Hunton XRS37's.

Now for a long time i have liked the Hunton concept but seeing them on the water has made me think i NEED one in my life!

We were coming through hurst narrows at a good 40 kts and this one came past us like we were standing still! seems like the perfect balance between speed and comfort! heating, fridge, bed, wind in the hair performance and i am told, great sea keeping and handling...

so.... before i go to the boat show on the 17th, do we have anyone on here who can give me any downsides to the Hunton?

As background, we live 5 minutes walk from the boat, its just me and SWMBO (and the dog if he is allowed to come and play!) boating is generally restricted to weekends and fairly local cruising.....

i had always said we would get one later in life when we can keep it down in the med at the end of our garden (think i might need to win 2 weeks running now!) but maybe its not such a crazy idea!

Come on, its Friday afternoon.....

The red one was the one that walked past us! the owners has a pretty special new one in build at the moment!!!

think i would want the classic white and blue colours to be honest but they are sooo narrow they must be impressive in any sort of sea!

saw you made it back to HYS! hope playtime played ball on the cruise!?

Yes, we did 300 odd miles all in, about 500 litres of fuel, she never missed a beat, apart from the leaking cabin windows (see mastic carnage) and the port oil leak seems to be getting worse. She's not a bad old stick despite her age.

It is called Cheetah and goes like a rocket. The owner is currently rigging a new one - when I last spoke to him it was at his factory in the midlands and expected speed was in excess of 100mph. Twin Illmors going in. http://www.ilmor.co.uk/marine.php

Here are two pictures I took of her a couple of years ago. 2008

I have driven Xenopus' boat - great fun. You can see it "hidden" behind the fuel berth at Warsash.

Yup! That's her!!! Loveeerly!!! The new one looks to be amazing! The owner seems to be incredibly talented and able to produce bespoke parts for the build! Really very impressive!

Saw the one at warsash as ours has been over there a few times. It's a 43 isn't it?? For us I think the 37 is the right size and personally I prefer the looks!!!

They are big money tho!!! Seen a 2005 boat for circa 130k!!!

Yup, a 43. Again built to Matt's specs. Nice cabin.

You can have the red one for around £140k!

Without wanting to sound too vain, I like the red but it's not my colour!!! Black or blue and White i think!

Gonna need to earn a few quid first but someday and i am know to be impulsive!!!!
