Re: Eh Wot

I'll tellem. We'll be needing a teapot and a washing up bowl that fits in the sink, and not a square one, a proper round one that we can wash the dog in. Also make the chains on the cutlery long enough to eat with this time, and we don't want any bubbles under the Fablon on the tables.

Re: Foreign Office intervenes

Rodriguez (the distributor) is a spanish name, and the boat is made in Italy. So both forms of address are correct, altho praps not advisable.

Re: \"I have a email from italy\" -Who cares?

Mike -you wrote "every thread related to the new Leopard always gets a good amount (sic) of replies."
Yes, but just look at the content. Mostly drivel, IMHO. But then, I don't HAVE to read it, do I?

Re: no...

Fair point. But "who cares" applies to most things on the TV, and everything on the web. So it's sunny in Florida and you did this or that - who cares? And so on. I didn't want "care" - just asked for any advice going. Your response will chase people away, for a lesser emptier BB, and in reall life, praps you are the chap who doesn't help lines ashore. I hope not.

Derogatory terms

PeterG - When will you grow up?

Kim - why don't you censor such insults as this prat wrote? It's obvious from the thread that it's not only the Brit boating clique (BBC!) who read this BB.

Re: no...

Funny reply when you told me to near enough FO for offering you a get by in Italian course. Must be people specific.

Oh and by the way I help with lines. Not a lot of clue what I'm doing but I help.

Re: Derogatory terms

ArthurWood - these aren't insults. They are acceptable slang to describe specific nationalities. The only people who would find them offensive are those who been sucking on the hind teat of Labour PC for too long.

I rather like garlic Roberto......

although supposedly the "Garlic Capital of the World" is Gilroy in California where they sold garlic marmalade and garlic wine (almost no smell until you'd drunk some and then you couldn't get rid of it)!

please ignore all derogatory terms to Italians, I was in Venice and Florence earlier this year and had an excellent time ;-)

Re: Wolf complains

scuse me. But you have been exploiting lots of goodwill in your windup. If I took your lines and chucked them in the water for a laugh, would you pass me your lines the next time? Maybe. Sposing I did it several times?

Anyway, sorry for ignoring the tapes thing, a nice offer. But I needed translatuion in a hurry. Ok, how much for the tapes and stuff. And do I send money to you, or await stuff and then send money since you're a windup and me not? See?

Re: Wolf responds

Drop me your works address via PM and I will dig them out and post them to you. As for cost (obsessed with money are you?) the offer was to help not make money - if you want to pay for them then donate £X to the next RNLI or NSPCC box you see.

Re: oops, a labrador

ok will send PM.

No not obsessed with money, just din't wantto presume. Interesting point tho. Small son helped peopl with lines in Yarmouth harbour some time ago. he helped four or five boats , I think, something to do in boat, and didn't ask for anything at all in advance or afterwards. One of them gave him a twix for his help, which is quite nice, but 2 others actually gave him money. Which I think is a bit weird - rather blowing away the idea of "helping".

Re: I rather like garlic Roberto......

No problem Peterg! It is very funny, I happen to look at bbs like this in a few different countries and in each one the "nationals" make the very same statements/comments/jokes...whatever about foreigners.

You will hear people from the north saying people in the south smell bad because with all the sunshine they have they sweat a lot... and people from the south saying that people living in the north smell bad because having no sunshine they do not sweat and never feel the need to wash themselves.
I live in France myself (not your very best friends are they?) so I must be careful ;-) I might be spied.

It looks like in the end we are all much more alike than we think.

Re: no...

Fair points, but a) I try not to clog the BB (I can't type well enough, anyway) b) I do help with lines c) I'm getting chased away by some of the drivel on the BB and it seems I'm not alone in my opinion. But who cares? No need to reply!
