We're due to set off from the Medway on Monday's tide for a week around the Orwell/Stour. The current forecast is SW 3-4 - perfect. However we all know this will be a complete guarantee that come Monday it'll be NE 5.
Why is it that the weather gods have always got it in for us when we head for the Spitway? We know we are not alone..

One of the good bits about weathonline is that they keep. running archive of the latest forcasts. You can look at the forecast for next Monday as well as yesterdays Thursdays Wednesdays and Tuesdays forecasts.

If the forecast remains pretty much the same as the day approaches, you can have a lot of confidence that it is good.

Well it worked out reasonably well going East although we diverted to B'sea when grandson felt ill and the crew voted for our favourite harbour. Just 3.5 hours motoring, mostly pushing the tide out of the Medway.
Kovalam most excellent!
Had to make an early return on Wednesday but ENE 4-5 so 5hours 10 minutes B'sea to Sheerness, 5.5 knots average. good for our little boat.
