On their 15lbs salt water anchor "When it's time to head back for land, simply raise the anchor off the lake bed and give a slight jerk on the anchor rope."

I don't know of any salt-water lakes - apart from the likes of the Dead Sea.

Can't be much of a market there, surely?

Great Salt Lake. But as lake levels fall, their numbers are dwindling.

There are a number of salt water lakes in Portsmouth Harbour-Weevil Lake, Spider Lake and IIRC Bomb Ketch Lake.

Large areas that dry at low tide but fill as the tide returns.

I am assured that the next stage in the development of this anchor envisages that a single jerk will be all that is needed to recover and stow it.
