Hope they can make a success of it. The administrators updates made interesting reading. Looked to me like it should have been a viable business, but was very poorly operated, with poor rent collection from the onsite houses and various other practices which properly executed could have meant a different outcome. It’s telling that none of the major marina groups were interested though.

If I was paying for a berthing licence there I woud want to pay with a credit card, would help me to sleep at night.

I would have thought given the immense housing shortage on the island plenty of development opportunities for this site but maybe others know more of such opportunities.

Seems to me that there are enough active house building sites and development planning permissions between Cowes and Newport to co-join the two creating the Islands answer to Milton Keynes in a few years time...

They might get some approaches from East Cowes marina staff maybe but running the IH might be a poisoned chalice.
