Thanks for the happiness to advise.. i ask about the stability of this boat. Is it good in waves higher than 1 meter? I have seen that in the specifications is written that this boat is supposed to be used in sheltered water.. Are you satisfied of this boat especially in the sea? And how much hp you powered your boat?
Thanks

Thank you man, im new in this business and im happy to get advises

Many people would use an inflatable of that size as a tender on a larger yacht. So it would be capable of taking them from an anchored yacht to the shore. Depending on the anchorage, they might need to navigate some distance to ship to shore, and face some disturbed water. However, I wouldn't countenance using an inflatable of that size for longer offshore passages - apart from anything else, unless it was loaded with lots of fuel, the main constraint would be the fuel range of the engine. You also have virtually no shelter from breaking seas. Some more information on where, when and how you would propose using it might elicit more specific responses. For example if you just wanted to go a mile or two offshore on a nice day to do some fishing, it would be fine. If you propose a journey across a bay on a windy day, it would probably be an uncomfortable experience.

Unfair question - Ocean is American for sea and the OP 's English is better than my Hebrew. He just wants to know whether the boat is good enough to go a bit offshore.

I'll explain myself. I have read in the spec that this boat is supposed to be used in the sheltered water. This according to the European standard. However, in the spec is written that this boat is supposed to be used in wave up to 1.2 meter. So i ask someone that has some experience with this boat to share with me his knowledge about is it useful in the inshore. Please dont be confused by the terminology of sea, ocean etc. I want to go in the Mediterranean Sea about 1 mile or more inshore and my question is about this kind of situation.
Thank you for helpful comments and sorry about my not high level english..

The categorization (this boat is Cat C) is a guide as to the suitability of boats for particular usage. The defining factor is wave height because trying to use descriptions of particular areas of use can be misleading and are just used as illustrations of typical uses. Most inflatables of this type are in Cat C and as others have said are often used as tenders for bigger yachts so would be used to get to shore. You may find it more useful to see what others use in your location and talk to owners about their boats.

I use exactly this boat as a tender powered by an 8hp 2-stroke engine. Boat has extra thick tubes and is much more stable than some of the thinner tube offerings. I find it an excellent tender and in calmish conditions am more than happy to drive a couple of miles if necessary. That said, it is as others have said basically a tender, is safe but becomes very bouncy and wet as the waves begin to rise. I'd forget about the max wave height criteria though: it would be very happy in a long 4m Pacific swell whilst very unhappy trying to bash into a 0.75m coastal chop. All in all its a great little tender: seaworthy, well made, planes well up to three up (rugby types excluded) but not really a suitable sea boat for spending extended time in.
