Hi All

I'm new to this boat ownership game, so please excuse me if I'm not using the correct terminology!
If I explain what Ive got then that might help with my question... I have a 1999 Rinker Fiesta Vee 270, with a Bravo 3 drive.
The other day I was stood on the back of the boat at its mooring. The water was quite low (mooring is tidal). I noticed that as I was getting on and off the boat it wasn't moving about as much as it normally does. I always leave the boat with the drive down. I guess with the water being so low the drive was sinking into the mud, hence why the boat wasn't moving about so much.
my question is.......if the drive/leg is sitting in the mud at the bottom of the mooring, will this be causing any damage to it? Can it take the weight of the boat sitting on top of it?
Apologies if these sound like "school boy" questions.
