Just looking at it ...

The two 'arms' look like they either mount the item or are used to attach a pipe to one end .... other end has quite a plain serious thread ... which gives me impression its a unit that sits in a pipe run ..... maybe a 'flow sensor' ??

I had one these on my coronet, which originally started off with petrol engines. It’s a “gas” sensor, but not sure if that’s as in gas/ gasoline/ petrol or lpg. It connects to a swinging needle meter. I can’t remember the name of it or whether it worked or not .Hope that helps.

I will try trace the wiring to se where it goes but its bloody mahem in there and the helm as most the wires are disconnected.

Probably not useable anyway. i dont remember any pipe work connecting it to anything, What i can do is have a look at old pictures and see if i can spot it.

I dont mind wiring but thinking this boat will benefit from a rewire. Spose best way to go aswell as its near 50 years old now.
