Is this a bargain boat?

No, US import, paper work will be nightmare even if its too old for CE marking etc.. its an unpopular model and it doesn't look very original, £12.5K would be it best price anywhere I'd say. Only worth considering if really cheap, current bid of £5750 looks about right.

Looks like no reserve so might go for at £5757

He also says its got a 4 year old 5.7 engine that has "300bhp". Looking at the pics its the standard 5.7L version which only has 250hp - bit of a difference. Makes you wonder if it really is 4 years old.

He's being trying to sell it for months. His first attempt was a 1/2 share for 9k ! If it sells at 6k then it might be ok, but even though it says no reserve I cant imagine him letting it go at that.

Probably a situation where he wants to recoup the money he's spent - how much did that engine cost him??? And that refit inside won't have been cheap. I'm ashamed to say I like the look of it though, bit like a late model Ford Capri - a bit of a lad.

Had to be a 'Cat' owner:rolleyes:
You been talking to Dogwatch?

He reckons he was a' Bit of a Lad' once:D

Sorry fer the Fwed Dwift folks:)

Is this the model where the stringers are weak and this can cause delamination ?

No, that was the 267 Vee express.

As for fuel consumption I would say 45 litres per hour would be a more normal cruising speed consumption.

I think there is a lot of pessimism on here regards this boat. A 27ft sportscruiser with a reasonably new engine and some work done to keep it fresh with a half decent inventory has got to be worth £10K.

Admittedly she is not a pretty boat, and the fact that she is in Spain is a problem for UK based boaters, but if you want a little sports cruiser in Spain I think she could be a good buy.

What else can you get for £10 - £12K ?

Hour to go and still less than £6K, Running costs could be high with the petrol engine but as a floating base in the sun maybe.

i use about £100-120 worth of fuel on a 90mile trip.
running around half throttle.
18ft s/boat 5.7l same engine as posted.. but mine is highly tuned.
the engine would'nt be too expensive to replace couple of grand
