Can anyone confirm if the Peters Chandlery at Chichester is still open for business ? I haven't been down to the Marina since Peters went into administration.

Also, anyone know what the relationship is between the Spinnaker bar/restaurant and Peters and/or Premier and whether it'll be affected in Peters folds. My assumption is that Premier own the building that houses both the Chandlery and Spinnaker and Conrad leases the Spinnkaer directly from Premier so shouldn't be affected, but don't know for sure.

Yesterday the Chandlery was shut, the bar and shop were open. SWMBO was most disapointed to find that the chandlery was not having a clearance sale, anybody know where I can get a copy of "Insolvency for Dummies"?

What will happen with Majorca

Does someone know if the shops in Majorca stay open, we just have paid a deposit for a property and a boat with them but they haven’t informed us about the situation at all, I found that out in the net. Now I have phoned them and they say there is no reason to worry about our money and they don’t comment the situation that peters went into administration at all. Does someone of you know if they close up in Spain as well and what happens with the property business of peters? Thanks for your help.

Re: What will happen with Majorca

I was told this weekend that Peters Majorca was under a different "wrap" to the rest, and was unaffected. I hope for your sake it is true.

Peters Mallorca allegedly belongs to the Peters family, unlike the rest, which is owned by Peters Opal, the group company of which Brian Peters is Chariman.

Apparently, according to the press, BP has been in Mallorca since the news broke...presumably to make sure his "Personal Pension Scheme" can continue to trade....xcuse the scepticism!!

The premises are owned by Premier marinas, Conrad and Peters simply lease the space - the same goes for the sales office and boatyard.

Nearly right...

Conrad 're-leased' <if thats the right expression, his part, the store & bar / restaurant, through Peters.
