Wouldn't hod your breath. I was there marshalling on the Squardon line at Cowes for the last 2 days, and the only time I saw any evidence of cameras was the helicopters hovering ahead.
I think that even you are the first on the forum to even mention it.
Because I was facing the spectators, I didn't see a lot, but I did get close to a lot of the boats, awesome, and the noise /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I saw TV camera's on the beach, in the pits in the marina, in the press boats and on the promenade, three helicopters also with TV cameras that I could see.
From the P1 powerboating web page The 2007 UIM Powerboat P1 World Championship will have arguably the most extensive television coverage in the history of performance boat racing, reaching across four continents and a potential audience of more than 100 million viewers.
Yes it will be, friend of mine is the TV company that won the contract to do the filming (Greenlight Television) think if you look on their website gives you some details, not sure when the viewing schdule is though.
The 2007 series so far has been on sky schedule, can't remember cahnnel, with Tiff Needel and Shelly Jory commentating, seems very good coverage, as for working out the rules, it seems even P1 can't do that after Fridays debacle?? Did Hustler win or not ??
