If it f**ks Flies or Floats, rent it.

There is a big diference between 16 and 40 days.
I charter alot of rags. I reckoned on my expenditure going over 7k per annum before it is worth buying and i charter min 3 weeks every year plus my own short trips on the silhouette and i have yet to come pass the 7k mark and have sailed all over. A big advantage is that lots of short hopes do massively improve your close quarter manoevering and anchoring confidence, but i can live with that and have yet to damage a boat.

all depends what boat you are benchmarking against buying/chartering.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me sir without adding, you're making a scene.
