For some reason Jeanneau did not fit trim tabs as standard to the Prestige 36 and I am sure they would benefit from them.

Does anyone have any experience of this boat with & without trim tabs and do they make enough difference to warrant the cost?

How much might they cost to have professionally fitted?

Thanks all and Happy New Year!

Why do you think it would benefit from them? Serious question as many shaft drive boats of this size seem to run quite well without using trim tabs.

If the boat is bow high, maybe consider moving or removing weight from the stern. Using tabs to correct a bow high attitude will translate into slower speeds and higher fuel costs. If it leans horribly in a cross wind then it will defo benefit from tabs.

If you decide to fit them, the kit will cost circa £700 for a boat of your size. Fitting is not too difficult, certainly DIY if you are that way inclined.
