BUT

Telling the seller that he has overpriced it may help him sell the item.

No, I still have enough Jotun left over from last year. It's good stuff, I've been happy with its performance, but one of the reasons I chose it was the very reasonable prices available from Shepherd Marine.

To be fair I don't know what they charge for a 20l bucket, but even at the 5l rate, and including VAT, it works out a bit less than is being asked here - add the quantity discount (implied by the price difference between 2.5l and 5l cans) and it should be significantly less.

EDIT: Just spotted that the offer concerned has been modified. Seems very reasonable now

Yes I believe it is right to do so. If peeps want to advertise on here for profit then that is surely against he grain of the site. For an example see the For Sale thread http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265185 Could be that peeps dont know the true value of second hand gear or dont know how to cut their loses.
