Donald. Could the big surprise be the estimate for the kitchen. A mate of mine did a leg of one of these big boat races, leavin SWMBO in charge of the new kitchen project. Imagine his delight on returning to find a bill for £36k. When he'd left the estimate had stood at £19k. The missus, no doubt distraught at his absense, had apparently taken to changing the design on a nearly daily basis. He reckons the food tastes great though. Just like it always did.

But once it is done I can concentrate the boat. Central heating is going in this winter.
