Is it him?

I don't think getting his name spelt wrong is the best way of getting your adventures written up and your grinning features plastered all over YM.

Yep, he who had 'Firefly' built. Pointy bow, big wide stern, fin keel, goes like the clappers and rolls like a pig. Andrew you should have gone across the Atlantic at high lattitudes, hard on the wind and then you wouldn't have any of this rolly poly nonsense.

Give me a long keel and twin gennys and lots of weight for the downwind passages.
You would then arrive fresh n happy with a suntan instead of the bruises.

Take no notice....I'm just jealous

Oh Damn and Blast - thats my chance blown too
No-one loves a smarta**e
(You wouldn't believe the trouble I've had trying to get that spelt correctly!!)

Re: it\'s him - The Claymore

I believe that thsi is the name of a famous scottish tipple. Are you of the same family? However, I think "a claymore" is a double-edged sword so that's more likely, handy for stabbling people in the back...

Re: it\'s him - The Claymore

Claymore is the worst whisky I ever tasted. More of a Jura man myself - smooth, straightforward, uncomplicated, nice shape, good colour - gentle on the tongue (easy Pauline!) and pleasant to the memory.

Re: it\'s him - The Claymore

I like the smell of claymore, reminds me of stockholm tar, but the taste, disgusting, normally used for starting recalcitrant kelvin deisels!

Re: it\'s him - The Claymore

That's a bit harsh isn't it. I haven't met claymore myself, but I'm sure he's a nice chap. As to referring to his smell - that's getting a bit personal even for this BB

Re: Rejoice

It's almost like the good old days of S/B - it's one of the best threads we've had in a long time. In terms of shear perversity the one about mooring ettiquette is also up there - but seems to have offended one of the posters.

Which Claymore?

This one doesn't smell of stockholm tar - its armpits are charmpits and its cluster has lustre on account of the Max Factor
Also this one is a bloody old skinflint so you won't get pi**ed off it.
hope that helps
15:00hrs Friday - not a student in sight, all staff waiting for the Boss's Cortina to vanish and all colleagues think I'm working. teehee

The other day we watched his "trial by Tradewinds" video. Has anyone seen it?
Should be "trial by gameboy". I am NOT taking one of those on my crossing.
Now for some gripes. After resigning I got down to the serious business of using my notice period and the office to order all my new gear . Some of these so called customer service focused "specialist" discounters are CRAP! They either don't answer the phone, fail to deliver or put the prices up after you have paid the first bit. Mind you sounds like yacht brokers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
