Which is the quieter of the two, or is there another reason for choosing one over the other?
I am told that Foxes can suffer from “fallout “ from the docks.
Well at least the tide doesnt run through the pontoons, making berthing interesting :encouragement:
Oh & the club is open every day for food / drinks, unlike most on the river
Other issue i find with Foxs, you need climbing gear to get up/down the pontoon ramps at LW !
Between Haven and Neptune, i'd go for Haven. Neptune is right on the side of the waterfront where there are loads of bars and eateries, people wandering around looking into the boats. Haven is more private and quieter.
What, less drunks than the other side
Yes. :encouragement:
And no club facilities
So one other point that hasn't been mentioned, is the ablutions at Neptune are across the road and across the car park behind the office
Much of a muchness really.
Haven side is easy parking, a tad quieter. But a longer walk to get food, eat out or get anywhere.
Neptune’s is close as you’ll get to anything, but if you’re on the closest side on the pontoons then might get someone stood at the fence making a noise.
I held a berth in Haven for 2.5 years but have stayed both there and Neptune’s when visiting back from Southwold and the Medway.
[plug]Other benefit of Ipswich Haven is you can make use of our full service boat yard[/endplug]
