iPad without gps

So I remember a thread where you can buy a remote gps but can’t find it ,the iPad has navionics already on ,we use to passage plan but need it for navigation ,as we are having the boat delivered without the nav kit as it has gone away for repair ,so we could use iPad temp then use as back up cheers roy

I used a Bluetooth remote GPS by “dual” for my iPad 2
It worked very well..

I use the Garmin Glo. Works well.

I bought an iPad with retina screen but without the onboard SIM card. Then to find out that it is only with sim that the iPad has a GPS receiver, they don’t tell you this. Relegated that iPad to fly bridge remote for raymarine WI-FI chart plotter permantly in a waterproof mounting case by life edge (pain to get on and off).
Then bought a new iPad with GPS for Navionics as a backup

Create a WiFi hotspot on your phone. This will provide gps to your iPad.
