Hi all anyone know of any ipad apps that can calculate routes based on tide vector - eg similar to the very good Neptune navigation for pc's that calculates course to steer

It can't be done at the moment. No-one has released one.
I use Neptune Navigation myself, and they've been working for around 2 years on an iPad version (I think they fired the programmer and had to start again). They say they plan to have a demo to view at the Southampton Boat Show this summer, but it won't be ready for release then.
I always find it amazing that one of the big boys hasn't released one. Can't be hard once you have a chartplotter app, and I don't see how it would cannibalise physical chartplotter sales any more than an iPad chartplotter app does.

Sailgrib does it for Android devices, but they don't do an iOS version
