Ipad 2 hard waterproof case

Looking for any reccomendations for a "hard", with bracket, waterproof case for a ipad 2. Along the lines for the Lifedge or lifeproof nuud hard cases, or any other models

Can you charge you iPad within the case? If not how easy it to remove and reinstall?

Not possible to charge whilst the iPad is in the case as this is completely sealed. However, one only has to open one end of the case to access the dock connector, takes 5s.
Fitting the case from scratch is a bit of a faff, takes a few mins. But if only for charging, as above, doesn't take long at all.

Whilst I haven't tried any others, I am very happy with the Lifedge for my purposes. The iPad sits on my binnacle and acts as a repeater for the Raymarine e7 down below.

I've got the Lifeproof Nuud case. It was expensive but it's very good quality and does the job nicely, allowing me to use iNavX in the cockpit.

Got a 'Survivor' at the boat show. Said to be US Military tested!
Looks pretty bulletproof to me.

The snag with that is that the iPad cover is water resistant rather than waterproof. Although I am not sure how relevant that is for the average cruiser.

I haven't had a problem yet although sun has been intermittent at best on the Medway. If we actually have a summer and it becomes a problem I might consider mounting it on a swing-out bracket in the companionway. So far in the rare bits of autumn / winter sun we've had I've always been able to see the screen okay.
