Invicta 26 windows

Hi, has anyone removed and refurbished their VdS Invicta 26 windows?

Mine are leaking and require rebedding no doubt. But I wondered if anyone had experience with them, and could give me some idea what to expect?

Put up some photos of your windows, inside and out, and someone will no doubt have a practical solution. As I understand it the Invicta 26 was moulded by Tylers' , then Medway Mouldings, but fitted out by others so may vary from boat to boat.

i have had similar with my contessa 26. eagle windows will recondition them for you if the frames are in good nick - but it isn't cheap. Mine were so corroded I didn't think it was even worth bothering looking at reconditioning - there were literal holes once I scraped the aluminium oxide/salt lumps off. I decided to fit bonded 6mm acrylic windows instead (shock horror!). I think they look very smart and from 30ft away you wouldn't notice. I will make up some aluminium trim for the edges so that the purists don't get too upset.

That’s probably what I would do in the OP’s position. Perhaps consider painting the rim/ circumference of the plastic silver if you wanted to retain the frame look.
