I have been using a 600w inverter. I need greater capacity for microwave etc.
I also have a 1000w inverter. Can I link both together to get combined output?
If so how should they be connected--?paralell. Any dangers from current flows one to the other?
Help appreciated.

You cannot run them in paralel. You will need a bigger one, you could probaly sell the two and have enough m,oney for a big one, 2 kw,

In no way should the outputs be connected together. You would probably blow both. Unlike the steady DC voltage from a battery the AC waveform from an inverter is continually changing at either 50 or 60 times a second. The problem is that the two inverters will not be in sync thus at certain times the effect would be similar to connecting two batteries together the wromg way round.
The only way you can get more power is as the previous posting says and buy a larger one.

There are some inverters which have an input synchronising them. I doubt yours have that. So don't try. They will blow.

If you do buy a bigger one, bear in mind that you will need batteries which are man enough for the job.

For reference, the May issue of MBM has done a trial of 1000w plus inverters.

They recommend a Cotek 1500w model, which at £491 for a pure sinewave model is not a bad price.
