invalid cmap card

i heve just received my free chart from cmap with my cp180i when i inserted it it came up card invalid has anyone els had this problem the shape of the card means it can only go in 1 way

I also have a CP180 and had no problem at all. As you say, there is only one way to fit the card so I suspect that you have a duff card and should contact the retailer and ask for a replacement.

Happened to me recently, turned out that the orange-coloured card - which appeared to fit physically - had to be replaced by a black-coloured card. The contacts on each are arranged slightly differently. Could it be you have been sent the wrong type......?

Orange = C Map Max

Black = either

C Map NT ( c card) very rectangular

C Map NT (another type rarely used) still rectangular but more squarish

OR
Black C Map Nt Furuno only

contacted jeppesen today they said its definetly the right cartridge but might be faulty so will send replacment asap and told me just to return the one i have hope this works ok
