I am pleased to have found this forum on classic boats. My background is as a rigger and sailor on traditional yachts and square-riggers. At present I work on board the ship BALCLUTHA in San Francisco. My love at the moment is restoring my teak Tahiti ketch TOREA in preparation for a passage to Tahiti in 2 years.
I lived in Glasgow for almost a year in 1998 while I supervised the rigging restoration of the Clydebuilt 3 masted barque GLENLEE, 1896 web page . This was the 3rd Clydebuilt square-rigger out of the 5 remaining in the world I have rigged on ( BALCLUTHA web page & MOSHULU web page ), and have done some consulting work on the FALLS of CLYDE web page .
