Can't beat a true British eccentric, they should have let him reach the shipping lane before rescuing him. He might have got it working by then.

He didn't get far enough to have learnt anything. No doubt he will try again. Seeing as he was under close observation from "helpful citizens", he could have been left sailing until say twylight by which time he might have become cold and hungry.

It looks like he made a fair job of it. It looks like the rudder was never going to work, perhaps he should have assembled twin rudders on the hulls. It feels like the hulls could be further apart - don't know why. I guess the dead flat bottom to the hulls may be a problem but easily fixed with a dagger (or lee) board or 2. Otherwise it looks sailable. I look forward to Mk2.

It has a few interesting features, the shape of the decks for one. IIRR Warram's first attempt was flat bottomed and not a lot different in shape, just somewhat larger. At least this guy tried, instead of booring people down the pub..

Wasn't there a similar vessel built out of plastic lemonade bottles. I guess this guy didn't employ the right PR company or he could have crossed the atlantic and returned to blighty a hero.

It must have if it suffers from offshore southerly winds. Maybe someone has nicked Wiltshire and no one else has noticed yet.
