So, the first coat is on the deck. I thought with InterProtect being an epoxy based product and West System leading the charge on epoxy, Wests (moderately expensive) rollers would be perfect for the job. Crikey, how wrong was I, I know all rollers will eventually be destroyed by the solvents in epoxy, but these rollers lasted literally minutes, almost seconds, before the foam layer of the roller disintegrated and came away, leaving me having to pick bits of foam out of the epoxy - sub optimal!
Any suggestions on rollers? I have a box of these (https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/product/100mm-velour-gelcoat-roller) from EC fibreglass as an alternative, and some standard foam rollers too. I won't bother using the West ones again for this job...
As a success story, I had some cheap brushes from the Range and I have never had a brush lose NO hairs at all, especially when they were throw away cheap (south of £1 a brush).
