So, the first coat is on the deck. I thought with InterProtect being an epoxy based product and West System leading the charge on epoxy, Wests (moderately expensive) rollers would be perfect for the job. Crikey, how wrong was I, I know all rollers will eventually be destroyed by the solvents in epoxy, but these rollers lasted literally minutes, almost seconds, before the foam layer of the roller disintegrated and came away, leaving me having to pick bits of foam out of the epoxy - sub optimal!

Any suggestions on rollers? I have a box of these (https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/product/100mm-velour-gelcoat-roller) from EC fibreglass as an alternative, and some standard foam rollers too. I won't bother using the West ones again for this job...

As a success story, I had some cheap brushes from the Range and I have never had a brush lose NO hairs at all, especially when they were throw away cheap (south of £1 a brush).

West Epoxies are solvent free.

I think Interprotect is solvent rich. I would guess the solvents have eaten your rollers.

Depending what the solvents are, you need something that would be suitable for 2 pack polyurethane topcoats, etc.

Have a look at SML Paints website, I use their foam sleeves a lot for epoxy and 2k paints, can reccomend.
Grey foam sleeves come in packs of 12 works out about £1 a sleeve.
They do fall apart eventually but are fine for small to medium jobs leaving a good finish.
Bigger jobs will require several but you learn to recognise when to change to another sleeve before breakout occurs.
