Interior face lift idea / complexity?

I'm pondering the idea of an interior face lift in companionways, salon and cabins....

Newer models of the same boat have adopted a half wood / half textile look and it's much brighter and has a nicer feel to it than the all-wood in my view.

Not necessarily a DIY job to get it done right but it also doesn't strike me as too difficult with a new waist high "dado rail" covering the transition from wood to textile on the walls and probably squeeze in the fabric behind the architrave around the doors.

Thoughts on the level of complexity that lies ahead on this seemingly simple (but nothing on boats is simple) facelift?

Use a structural wrap. It has a texture to it

That stuff looks perfect! I did look at some 3M wraps but they were really thin and not a "linen" feel.

I've just ordered the swatch from those guys.

Stick a photo in copilot and tell it what you want it to do

Interesting…i popped a photo of a sealine in and said make this a decent boat…..it made it into a fairline! Very clever this AI stuff

I did. lovely and soft underfoot. £85 for a roll end. No idea what it is other than a twist carpet

Looks great. My carpet where there is a lot of feet use has gone a bit flat. Fancy something a bit more luxurious under foot in the saloon. (Cabins have wool mats but are cazillions of £ )
