Collegue purchased a air cooled ? 6hp version some while ago it took whole weeks for the paint to start flaking off and the racket it makes underway......

It certainly is not the Quietest outboard. But I have a particular purpose in mind if I can get interest which is racing KA Boats which are narrow blow up sibs as below. I think this could be a cheap and interesting form of racing Probably for people younger than me but I thought I would see if it would work. You would be able to get a complete racing set up for about £1200 which could be affordable for many people. We will see

I get a max of 8km/h 1 up on our Seago Spirit 270 air keel boat with an ancient Honda 2hp 4stroke, 7km/h with two of us onboard.
so the 6hp on the 35 with two up was not bad at all.

I was quite pleased with the result for what it was and I never went above 2/3 throttle. I am not saying this is the engine one should use for main stream sibbing but for My intended use and Idea think it could make a nice small racing class.
