Interesting leaflet in the snail mail...

I had thought that the new development would stop short of the baths, and so Mrs H was reassured. Oh dear - perhaps she should not be?

I don't know, I can't find the plans online. However, the report to the Planning Committee is online ( http://bdcdocuments.onesuffolk.net/...mmittee-Reports/Reports-2014-15/P30-Item1.pdf ) and contains an interesting point about the occupancy of the flats. Occupancy will be restricted to:

* A person in possession of a berth (lease or tenant);
* A dependent or spouse or co-habitee;
* A widow or widower of a person who was in possession of a berth at the time of death;
* A person who is 65 or over if they were in passion (sic!) of a berth on their 65th birthday;
* A person without a berth for six months in any twelve months.

Not sure how easy it will be to find 19 takers on that basis.

Seems to me to deny the use as a holiday let...... which would be a good use...

So owner occupies only.... Hmmm..

oh, just some recent discussions about people being refused service because they had oilies on... and just a general sense that it is very racing boat dominated when I've been in there... nothing of substance.

Interesting stuff over the occupancy... it will be interesting to see what size/price they are, as I agree.. if they are expensive, then selling/leasing 19 of them might be tough!

The wife has just asked about moving to SYH.....

We've kept Guapa everywhere on the Orwell - bar Woolverstone.
Everywhere is a compromise - there's something to be said for and against every marina.
SYH meets our needs best. If they don't do anything silly on the berth/mooring fees front, we intend to stay there till Guapa moves abroad permanently.
