Insure4boats

If 3rd party whats the problem, you have proof of cover, its then up to the 3rd party & your insurers to sort out, or am i missing something

Any claim is against the person. The insurance company indemnified the person against claims

Failure of meeting a claim leave the person still liable.

As with all insurance whether third party or comprehensive you only know how good they are when they handle a claim.

I posted on here at my last renewal date as I was considering moving to a better known insurer but was reassured by responses that the one I was with handled claims OK.

If you look at thread circa June you will see a number of insurance companies given the OK.

No just interested in feedback before choosing company.

With any insurer you have to read the policy to see exactly what is covered. In some ways this is even more important for third party as you are still liable for claims against you that are not directly covered. In reality most policies are the same and give good coverage but it is still worth knowing when you might still be exposed.

If it’s possible to really make sense of small print, basically need to insure against biffing another boat in marina, most probably close encounter......
