Insurance

The renewal premium for this years marine insurance is some 50% higher than last year! The most competitive alternative quote I've received is from St Margarets (albeit higher excess than most). When I say competitive, the figure is on a par with last years premium.

Has anyone out there got any experience of St Margarets Insurance and their standard of customer service in the event of a claim? At the end of the day, thats what counts.

Ive had a claim via St Margarets for a new canopy my wife destroyed passing under a low bridge, (£650) They paid up with no problem after i told them more damage would occur to internal fittings/furnishings if they did not!

I use St Margarets. But only cos I have to insure some place.
Dont belive in insurance except when cant avoid. Why pay for loads of blokes with silly hats on and suites. Better to just pay for it your self.

Dont forget to order your Burgee. PM me.

Thanks for your replies.

I'll stick with my existing insurers this year, but make sure I start searching earlier next year.
