Insurance costs

I have just received the renewal notice for my boat insurance (GJW) and I am disappointed by the steep increase. For EXACTLY the same coverage they increased the Gross Premium by 11.6% with respect to last year. And if you have some doubt: last year there was a similar increase with respect to the previous year, the previous year too, and so on. I have never entered any claim so that my No-Claim-Bonus somehow countebalances the increases but... is this fair????

Shop around and see what others can offer. but you get what you pay for.

Daniel, this is the first year I have a 393 saili boat; insurance for RCA and "Corpo e beni" and "Furto e incendio" as required by the leasing company for boat and 3.5 HP RIB amounts to 1.450 €

This company gave a competitive quote but as yet I have no knowledge or experience of their service.

Shop around a bit, insurance companies are notorius for this. Twice I have had to call up my (car) insurance company to cancel and switch to a different policy, it was most fun when the customer service person enquired "Who did you get the better quote from", and I replied "Um, you" /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
