Injectors

I've just removed the injectors from my Perkins gennie, they came out ok, but the copper sealing washers are stuck way down in the hole on the head. I have tried to get them out using various pointy things, but have been unsuccessful.
Any ideas please?
There is a special tool I can buy for £20 if all else fails.

I used a softwood pencil on my BMC Captain when I changed the injectors. Push in gently and the inner ring of the sealing washer catches on the tapered end. Good luck.

A piece of threaded rod or a long bolt usually works. One that is big enough diameter to want to tap the washer. Wind it into the washer a turn with some downward pressure, then pull.

Just a thought, the washers are copper, they look in good condition, could I anneal them in situ?
Not really practical because to anneal the copper you need to get it to red heat.

Even if you could, I wouldn't re-use an annealed copper joint washer in that situation because although annealing softens it doesn't restore its original thickness.

All done, I poked around with a small flat head screwdriver and out they popped.
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.
I am amazed how thin they are. I would say they are 15mm

Oh, I've learnt lots! Not sure enough to compensate for failing recollection of having been on a boat, though...
