Injector testing in West sussex

I have a lombardini 10hp. I think the injector is dodgy, is there anywhere in West Sussex where I can pop it in to for a check over/test?

West Sussex usually equates to Chi harbour/Bognor or possibly Littlehapton.

Panda in Fareham are my injector servicers of choice. I've used them from when they were out by Bursledon. They're round behind Sainsbury's in Warblington these days, really easy to get to from the M27.

When cranking over....with supply line off...the compression is coming out the injector (if that makes sense) that doesn't seem right.
I have tried but can't get it apart.

Could it be diesel squirting in to the top of the injector from the feed pipe and bouncing back out? Or Fuel in the injector 'vibrating out' as the engine spins over? Need diesel and pressure to lift the needle and inject the diesel so should come back up. Though I did once have an injector service guy tell me my injector nozzels where corroded 'open', but then engine still ran. I do my own now, if a basic mechanical injector and you can find the opening pressure then you just need to borrow a pop tester from someone.

Not sure if Lancing Marine do diesel testing - I've been to their place and it doesn't look likely, but might be worth a worth a phone call.

Used them to overhaul an injector pump; found them very helpful.

I wouldn't even think of dissembling it, they are set to open at the correct pressure. It shouldn't leak back (?) possibly.

If you're sure it's the gas in the cylinder that's leaking past the injector, then it's most likely to be the copper washers. These can be annealed by heating to red heat and allowing to cool. Someone will be along in a minute to say they should be quenched in water, but it's not something I've ever done.

+1 on not home servicing. We used to do ours in a clean room. They were always matched to the pumps, too when servicing. A mechanical pump/injector pair were labeled and passed together for servicing/repair and on the Multi cylinder pump blocks, the injectors were numbered from the front of the engine to ensure the right injector was matched to the correct pumps.

+1 for Panda diesel, I would suggest a phone call to them to find out what they would like you to bring to them, they may well want all the injectors. 01329 220551. no link just a customer

Whats wrong with it? It may be a little long winded, but if I click on it my mail programme gives me a blank e-mail to fill in. I prefer this to a web page with a load of impertinent marketing questions to be asked....
