Just got back yesterday from a 700 km trip to get a TV fixed (Don't ask).
I filled up the tank before leaving and added enough injector cleaner for 2 tank fulls, should have read the label first, never mind.
As I left in the early hours of the morning I drove at reduced speed to avoid the fur coated fender benders, Kangaroos to you.
As soon the sun showed I drove at the legal limit, well most of the time anyway.
Waited 4 hours for the repair and filled the tank again noting the amount of fuel and distance travelled.
Headed home a lot faster and cut almost 30 minutes off the trip back. I filled up on arrival and again noted distance travelled and fuel used.
I was amazed to see that despite the extra speed and the fact that I was driving into the wind heading south I used less fuel.
So the injector cleaner had some effect. Also note the vehicle is a Toyota Hiace 6 Van, a bit like a brick, it often runs several hundred Km per week so the extra economy was not due to a good blow of a run.
