The Police Chopper was up and about Sunday night. From what I have gleaned so far 4 yobs nicked a boat from Wallingford. They abandonded it at Springs Golf Course and went to ground, one was caught climbing a tree by the police dog, who badly ripped the dudes leg (shame /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ). Another was also caught by a dog. The golf course manager directed the police using his 4x4 and intimate knowledge of the area.
Anyone know more than this? What kind of boat, how many caught etc. etc.

Hi Byron

Well keep it quiet from my good lady. We moored at Wallingford just up past the bridge on the left by the pub, on our holiday the other week. I slept like a log but SWMBO spent a very restless night listening to the teens on the other side of the bank shouting, swearing, smashing bottles etc. It already put her off mooring there as she was scared they would come over the bridge and damage or release the boats.

Glad they got nicked and I hope the bite was a good hard one.
What remains to be seen is if they will be let off with slapped wrists or actually punished for their crimes.
