Inflatable kayaks

[
For an inflatable kyak where you are just mucking about, you only need one set of paddles and you can take it in turns to have a go. If your passenger is a) female, b) attractive and c) wearing a bikini, she can turn round and sit facing you at the other end of the boat. ;)[/QUOTE]

Ah right now that is a whole new idea. Also avoids having to turn the Kayak around when you want to go back again - just pass the paddle over. But in this scenario, when do you ask if the said Lady if would like to have a stroke?

When using single ended paddles, each person should choose a side & stick to it. The person at the back is responsible for steering & should use the "J-stroke".

In effect, at the end of the stroke twist the paddle blade 90deg-ish so it slides thro the water like a rudder & use it for steering. A push away or pull towards will exagerate the turning effect if required.

Paddle deep, straight & close in for speed and wide & curving to swing the boat around on a new course or to correct for waves or weak technique.

I bought an inflatable kayak a few years ago and only used it twice (just too many toys in the lazeret).

Its very similar to this one

Paddle is very versatile,
double flat blade for beginner
double feather blade for speed/endurance
two singles for paddles/oars.

one person only but my daughter found space to sit in the aft dry locker (which wasnt so dry with her sat in it).

Rinsed and dried and put back in box.
