...as was. Now Italy: Trieste, sailing capital of Italy (as opposed to poseurs' capital, which must surely be Capri or Porto Cervo). We've just had the Barolana regatta: 1962 boats entered from 33m to 6m. Shame there was no wind: only 39 boats finished!
Any other Scuttlebutters near here?

I cruise the northern Adriatic since 5 years now.
Actually, Trieste is my preferred place for filling the tank with cheap fuel, though also the city is a nice one indeed.
Of course I heard about the Barcolana, but for one reason or another I've not been able to see it so far.
Maybe next year...

Australia - North Queensland at present. I spend more time on the Wooden Boat forums, since they...um.....aren't quite so keen on tupperware consumer durables *ducks* :)
