Hi All,

We just bought ourselves an old 23ft sailing boat and unfortunately the paper work (which is quite old!) does not mention any model name of this boat.

What we know is that she is a 23-footer classic sloop; triple keep, Lloyds build 1963.

Any idea where we might obtain some help or maybe anyone out there has an idea what these boats where called ?

Thanks in advance
Tyrone Galea.

One keel good, two keels better (if you park a lot), three keels unusual.

The only triple keeler I can think of that might fit your description is the Macwester range - maybe something like the Macwester Rowan.

Did Thames Marine make triple keel Snapdragons?

Some of the Maurice Griffiths designs were keel and bilge plates - the Golden Hind range was built in quantity but i don't recall one as small as 23'.

And you are sure it is 23 foot.

What is it made of (GRP/Wood), what sort of rig has it got.

If it is 22' (and not the 23 you mention) it could be a Westerly 22. Fits the keel type, date of launch etc....

Give us a bit more detailed description.

BTW, Welcome to the wonderful world of boating.

Regards

Wayne
