Impeller removal tools

Always just used a pair of needle-nose pliers .... and as you pull just turn it in the intended direction of rotation - pops straight out ...

If you really want impeller removal tool then get a pair of needle nose pliers with long reach and bend the ends! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I only ever take mine out to replace it. I have a pair of long nose vise grips (posh mole grips /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif), Then you can concentrate your effort on the pulling. I often find they don't come out so easily, but then the next time it will.

None of the pullers I've found fit my access so I use long nosed pliers and swear a lot. I fitted a Speedseal yesterday which should make the process a whole lot easier. With the seal they supply some silicon lubricant to grease everything including the new impeller and shaft. I'll find out if that makes removal easier next time - but hopefully not for a year yet
