Im clueless: Looking for a nice bowrider- Mar Menor.

Hi Karen,

I keep my Regal 22 Fasdeck at Mar de Cristal marina on the Mar Menor ( about 30mins from Sucina ). It is kept on a dry stack so no growth to worry about which can be a problem in the Mar Menor. There is a small bar that serves nice food and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
I would say buy in the UK and tow it down . I have done this with 4 boats now. Secondhand boats in Spain tend to be more expensive and generally not in great condition.Any questions just ask..

HI Sandy,

I found that Marina on an old thread on here. I think its the one that does unlimited launch and recover in with the price? Seems ideal. 30 minutes drive is nothing.Do you get out on it a lot ?

Hi Karen,

Yes unlimited launch and recovery and 24hr security so your boat is safe. 180 euros a month. I have a holiday house 5 minutes from the marina and get out as much as we can when we are over. You could phone before you leave Sucina and your boat would be in the water waiting for you when you arrive.

going to do that now
Im going to do a spreadsheet of what comes as standard and what is extra in the various types of boat I like, I think its the one way to see where the real value for money is, all the manufacturers are so so different in what they offer as a standard, and some of the additions seem way over the top in price, but I think checking what the secondhand boat has had in addition to the standard pack that particular boat came with, would help me see the value of one boat against the next, as its all quite confusing

You could always look at the Salpa Rib range (Smaller day boats as well) they are very reasonable and a great boat for the med, come with a lot of extras water, cooking, electric windlass bimini and the bigger med tubes at 50cm they also do smaller bow rider open boats, I think the 20 has a head compartment in the cuddy. And the benefit of outboards.
