Hi everyone.

I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find the answer:

Can anyone tell me the times(s) of the bus from Igoumenitsa to Preveza, please? (I know, I should have made a note of it last time I was there :o ).

The KTEL site no longer seems to publish this info so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Alan

Well found, thank you. Was there any indication of how recent/reliable this info is, please?

Talking on reliability..
Googled on KTEL, found offices, called and the numbers are 11:30 and 11:15 (12:00 on weekends).
(But I don't recall which is which...so go a quarter earlier to be on the safe side)
apologies

All the Preveza locals recommended using a taxi or hiring a car, when I was looking at some friends joining me from Kerkyra.

So that's what I did!

I used the bus last year, albeit in the opposite direction (from Preveza) and the service was excellent. Just wish I had made a note of the b****y times :(.

Well just to add my two penneth. From talking to someone aho caught the bus from Igou recently it leaves around 2 o clock. From Preveza it leaves around 11 to go to Igou. You would have though with all the boats at Preveza we might have warranted more than 1 bus per day? sigh...

I am beginning to think that one bus per day is good for Greece. (They are having a crisis you know :) )

With a bit of luck we will get picked-up by Aktio. (If we ever get the bus, that is :)). That's a whole new adventure; riding in their Land Rover.

Hey! Don't knock the landie! Without it we'd have to taxi or walk from the airport or bus stop. Sure its a bit 'rustic' but it beats shank's pony. :)

Advice from Vassa ( sp? ) at the desk is to phone them as you get on the bus at Igo. They then know when to meet you at the bus stop in Preveza.

- cheaper, more convenient.

Not in my experience.

This week: Flight form Newcastle to Corfu - £47 (inc luggage), Ferry to Igoumenitsa - about 12 Euros, bus to Preveza - about 12 Euros. Total Newcastle to Preveza under £70 - and no 6 hour bus journey from Athens.

Just depends on what is available and how hard you look, I guess.
