Have one engine 2 alternators . Only one ignition light but two field supplies with switches on each fed from common ignition supply incorporating light .So if one alternator fails light goes on. But which alternator? Playing with switches won't find it as one alternator already self exiting. Also fault may not be in field circuit perhaps fan belt. Thinking about fitting 2 lights seems logical but one diesel engine 2 ignition lights is that common.? Also more interested in early warning on failed
