It's the first weekend of the school hols. Blue skies, sunny, warm and a light breeze with flat seas. The trip from East Cowes to Shamrock Quay.

We passed through a race fleet on the Squadron Line and for the rest of the trip we met 7 sailing boats and four motorcruisers.

Not all that crowded then.

But this under crowded passage took place between 07-00 and 10-00hrs on Sunday morning.

So there you go. Solent yotties like a lie in.

Twas a bit windy/gusty too, lots of people would have opted to stay put until wind eased!
