Its a shame there is no nautical equivalent of a SORN for cars, so at the moment if its in the water it needs a license.

Ah, but if it's on a SORN it must NOT be kept on the road.

That's a misnomer unless that nice Mr A. Graham has changed the rules. As I understand it the volunteer is not allowed to operate the lock if the resident / relief is not on duty, so that means lunchtimes - f'rinstance. Methinks that also applies if the equipment is on OOPPS (!).

I'm sure somebody will correct me....

Its quite a bit more up above Allington lock I think 300 quid for our 23 footer, but still cheap compared to your 800!
