Do you really think that 'rent a skipper' adequately describes the achievements that Ms. Henderson has risen to? Should they have asked you?

What extra made up the quantity of 'enormous' compared to the scores of daily Atlantic flights? I think we should be told.

The point being not the Skipper's expertise, but the fact that Greta's attempt to travel carbon neutral/zero, has been destroyed by 2-3 tons of CO2 being effectively released on her behalf.

How has all that co2 been released on her behalf? Unless you mean that the plane with Ms Henderson on with all the other passengers on it would have stayed at home.

Why is it two to three tons? Don't they know exactly how much? Sounds a bit dodgy to me. But even if it is three tons, how much is that each when it's divided, say, by 250 passengers?

Sounds like sloppy journalism to me.
 
It's about a tonne of C02 per person to fly the Atlantic but it depends on the plane. I offset my flying and for £5, I offset 750kg of CO2 from Edinburgh to Labuan, Malaysia, according to the KLM calculator. Perhaps Ms Henderson also paid for offsetting. The airlines list the projects that the offsetting pay for, reforestation, wetland reinstatement etc

I watch, with enthusiasm, Leo Goolden’s vidéos of the rebuilding of TALLY HO. His girlfriend did appear in a bikini for about five seconds in one episode, but to set against that we must have had almost an hour of the macaw by now, along with thirty hours of perfect wooden boatbuilding. I used to watch waiting to see if he ever took a short cut, but no, he never does. Everything is straight out of Watts and Jurd.
