The admission price.Far too cheap! Is it refunded if you spend say £500 or more? Nah,didn't think so.

I've always found it possible to negotiate a 'special price' at the shows and it always more than compensates for any entry charge.
But having visited yesterday IMHO I believe it still does not have the flavour of past venues and that possibly the last LIBS I'll bother with.

Judging by posts on other threads I wishI had gone on Tuesday rather than Thursday.
I thought it was packed , the aisles were full and I usually had to wait or re-visit a stand to talk to someone. I think boat shows have been overtaken abit by the boat jumble network and the internet. I always think there are for more people for a day out than serious customers.
Put a maximum size limit on the boats there. It'd be nice to be able to see a different range of boats than at sibs and the 20-30 foot range is highly under-represented.
Re: If there is one thing you would change at LIBS...
the god awful television programme they make, which is always so frustrating to watch, it always features the most expensive gin palace and this year 20mins of some celeb chef
producing a totally impractical creation in a simulated galley, and and another overpaid celeb going on a charter i can only dream of,
why cant it reflect the inovation of products and boats which the visitors attend for.
I actually prefer Excel to Earl's Court as a venue. There is more room, and I do like the fact that there are boats in the water. However, I do agree that the smaller stalls are gone, and probably replaced by boat jumbles and the internet ... as has been said already.
Bad points - too many holiday companies - thought I think I mean too much area of the Show is devoted to them. Also large areas were advertising places for holidays - Croatia, or Turkey or Greece etc. Perhaps the organisers need to reduce the % area devoted to these? But I suspect they have a bigger advertising budget than a small marine electronics company
NEC? North? get an atlas man! its still a two hour drive South for me and a darn sight further for most people in the North of England, not to mention Scotland
